Happy Halloween!

We celebrated Noah's second Halloween in several ways! On Friday we went to Jeremy's office for their Halloween party where there were lots of fun things to do and plenty of candy to eat. On Saturday we went to Devon & Paul Davidson's 6th Annual Pumpkin Carving Pary. We ate some delicious food and Jeremy carved some pumpkins. Then we hit the Hattman's house for trick or treating. Noah was adorable dressed up as a dinosaur. Good times!

Underwood Family Farms- Fall Harvest Festival

In the week before Halloween, Noah and I were able to go to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark for their Fall Harvest Festival. We had a great time with Amanda, Miles, Jack, Aunt Sara & cousin Amy It was so much fun with a petting zoo, a corn maze (that was quite "cornfusing", pumpkins, tractor rides and lots of hay pyramids to climb on!

Noah Turns 1!!!

On October 18 Noah celebrated his first birthday! We had a cowboy themed party at Grammy & Papa Baumgardner's house, which Noah promised to remember forever. Or at least until the next day. And he didn't in fact promise, it was more of a babble and a laugh. Anyhow, he celebrated with tons of faimly, a few friends and a giant red velvet cupcake, which he enjoyed thoroughly.

Ryan and Steph's Wedding & Noah's Best Day Ever

We had a great weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico celebrating Jeremy's brother, Ryan's wedding. It was a small, beautiful ceremony on the beach followed up by a dinner at a restaurant overlooking the water. Absolutely picturesque

Though the wedding was nice, Noah's favorite part of the trip was when uncle Davin gave him his first ice cream cone. He was absolutely oblivious to the 10 people surrounding him, laughing and taking pictures. His entire world consisted of nothing more than that ice cream.

We're Moving (again...)!

Well, it seems we have reached our one year maximum at our current residence so, in keeping with tradition, we will be moving! Unfortunately, despite our year long house hunt, we will be renting again. But we are excited about our new place. It's only 2 miles from Jeremy's work and is actually a back house with zero, count them: ZERO shared walls/floors/ceilings. It has a large private yard, new floors, new appliances and a few hundred square feet more than our current place. It's located on a cul de sac in a great neighborhood in the Rancho Park/Cheviot Hills area (Overland & Pico), just down the street from the Westside Pavillion, the library & Palms Park and less than half mile away from Trader Joes. We will start moving as early as next week and plan to be fully moved by October 23rd.

Driving Miss Ashley

Since Papa Dennis will be traveling in Africa during Noah's birthday, he and Grammy gave Noah an early birthday present. Noah LOVES pushing around his new Radio Flyer walker. This morning, Ashley (the cat) was resting in the wagon and Noah was dying to push it! Enjoy the video below.

Have Passport, Will Travel

Dear Papa Dennis,
I got my very first passport today for my trip to Mexico for Uncle Ryan & Aunt Steph's wedding. Can you believe this will be my thrid airplane trip already? I can't wait! As soon as I get back from Cabo, I am ready to go with you anywhere in the world. Just let me know and I will clear my schedule. Since I don't travel light (stroller, pack & play, high chair, car seat, diapers, etc.) I suggest we bring my parents too. So where are we off to next?
Love, Noah

Yeehaw! An Oldie but Goodie

I was so bummed when I realized that I took this video holding the camera sideways and didn't have the software to turn the video right-side-up! I finally figured out yesterday that good ol Windows Movie Maker has a function to rotate video! So even though its a few months old, it's one of my favorites. Just wanted to share!

First Haircut

After Noah was all boogied out, I attempted to give him his first haircut. I've had to trim the hair over his ears a few times now but this time I trimmed all over. I thought about googling "how to cut hair," but then decided to wing it. I figured if I mess up, at least there's a month before he turns one so he can grow it back before everyone comes to see him. I sat him in a high chair outside with a tray full of cheerios. While that kept his mouth busy, it didn't really keep his head in one place. So, I brought the computer outside and set all of the videos we have of him to play on a loop. He loves to watch himself. It was like a movie festival for him, except cheerios instead of popcorn. He sat still enough for me to do the best I could. He even let me take his picture in the end, though he wouldn't give me the satisfaction of smiling.

Dancin' Fool!

Noah LOVES music and loves to dance! Anytime there is any kind of beat or music, he starts to dance. I've been trying to get a good shot on video and lucky for us, his new moves include raising his hand up high while shaking his booty! Enjoy!

Great Grandma C's Birthday

We were able to visit Great Grandma Charbonneau for her birthday last Saturday. Grandpa Alan had come to visit from Austin & Great Aunt Judy & Great Uncle Jerry were there for the celebration too. So many Greats in just one room! Grandma C hadn't seen Noah since last Christmas when he was only 3 months old. Noah is one of her 24 great grandchildren!

First Teeth

Noah has 2 teeth and just cut his third- a middle bottom tooth. We're waiting for the other top tooth to arrive. Here's a couple photos of our little snaggletooth...

New Blog!

Well, I thought I'd give this blogging thing a shot. I am hoping to post regular updates on our family. Our smugmug page (http://dobies.smugmug.com/) is still the best place to view all of our photos, however, I am hoping this will serve as a more personal connection, with the stories behind the photos. Enjoy!
